Welcome to the Main Page for the DCA Honors Anatomy & Physiology Cell Structure Wiki.
***Presentation Order***
***Test Review***
This wiki is designed to be a collaborative learning experience for the Honors Anatomy & Physiology classes here at DCA. Each student is being assigned a specific structure of the human cell. They will spend the course of the next week studying their structure by researching for information, gathering their information into a logical format, and presenting this information both in class and to the world via the Cell Structure Wiki. Each student will also be responsible for studying the wiki pages of each of their classmates, posting questions/comments about their classmates cell structures, and generally coming to a better understanding of the human cell.
The objectives for this study are as follows:
- To gain a better understanding of the structure of the human cell
- To develop insight into how each organelle of the cell functions and how this affects the overall function of the cell
- To further enhance understanding of the role of specific cells within the overall physiological framework of the human body
- To collaborate on a learning experience and share the gained knowledge with their classmates, peers, parents, and the globe
- To gather information about cellular biology in a new, exciting way than their previous life sciences classes
The specifics of the assignment (including the rubric that will be used for grading the project) can be found in the worksheet by following the link below. Feel free to print this document if you need any additional copies.
